NAMIWalks - Surging Across America, Raising Community Awareness
The first NAMIWALK of the Fall season arrives on August 1st in Honolulu, Hawaii at Skygate/Fasi Municipal Bldg. & City Hall/King St. This is their third Walk and they are working hard toward their $75,000 goal.
After a successful Spring season when many Walks had their best years ever and broke records for number of walkers and funds raised, the Fall season looks to be even better with another 35 more Walks scheduled.
If you are reading this and are near one of the 80 NAMIWalks being organized for 2009, get connected and join the fun!
In the 6 years since its inception, NAMIWalks for the Mind of America has become the largest national mental health awareness event and one of the fastest growing programs of it kind. More than 250,000 walkers have participated, raising over $30 million to fund state and local NAMI advocacy, education and support programs. To find the NAMIWalk nearest you, visit NAMI's Web site.
