Traveling with an individual with autism this summer?

Dear AnnMarie,

A summer vacation can be a wonderful way to relax and recharge. Unfortunately, there are times when it can be stressful for families living with autism. Individuals on the spectrum can find the rigors of travel — noise, crowds, lines, and disrupted routines — difficult.

As the leading grassroots autism organization, the Autism Society wants to help make summer travel a bit easier with these helpful summer travel tips.

It’s another way we’re striving to serve the increasing number of families who are turning to us — as the incidence of autism continues to rise!

Your urgently needed gift during our 2009 Summer Appeal will help us advance more vital autism treatment-guided research, and enhance support strategies to improve the quality of life for individuals on the spectrum.

Thank you again for your support — and have a wonderful summer!

Thank you!
