April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day--One person can make a world of difference

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD).

Dear AnnMarie,

This Thursday, April 2, countries around the globe will
commemorate World Autism Awareness Day. It's a time to
shine a light on autism, to awaken public understanding of
the crisis, and to accelerate support for research and services.

Events to celebrate the day will be held in countries on four
continents and at the United Nations (click here for a list).  And
visit our site to find television coverage of WAAD events around
the globe.

You can participate in World Autism Awareness Day with a gift to Autism Speaks. Your support will help:

  • Build Awareness of the autism crisis
  • Support scientific research
  • Provide services to families
